Dereck Treadwell
Dereck Treadwell won the Amateur Duathalon National Championship Title on September 30, 2007. As an amateur he started 25 minutes behind the professionals and managed to catch all but two - making him the third place finisher overall.
Treadwell, member of Midcoast Triathlon Club, burst onto the duathlon stage, winning the title and the highly esteemed Stars and Stripes Jersey.
Dereck is also the head cross country and triathlon coach at Hartwick College.
