Dave is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he completed a B.S. in Nutrition Science and M.S. degree in Nutritional Oncology. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, and a Certified Level 1 Triathlon Coach by USA Triathlon. He served as head coach of the Cal Poly Triathlon Team for the 2007 & 2008 seasons, and was also the director of Team USA Triathlon for the 2008 Pan American Maccabi Games in Argentina.
In his spare time he volunteers as a nutritional consultant for several Cal Poly teams, including Baseball, Men’s Volleyball, Men’s Lacrosse, Women’s Field Hockey, and the Triathlon team.

Richard is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University – B.S. Kinesiology, with an emphasis in exercise science and nutritional biochemistry. While completing his degree, Richard took an active role in progressive exercise physiology research for paraplegic wheelchair users.
Richard competed in collegiate track and field and still plays competitive soccer. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a Certified Personal Trainer by the American Council on Exercise. One of his specialties is the physical training and rehabilitation of collegiate and professional athletes. He also coaches high school and club sport teams as well as mentors individuals to achieve their athletic goals.
